We are a small family run business, that places the quality of our products above all else. All of our products are made right here in Hygiene, by our supplier WhiteDove Herbals. The extracts are made by hand and in small batches to ensure the products meet our unusual standards of quality, efficacy and purity. Many of the herbal ingredients in our products are grown on a small organic farm just down the road from where we ship our products. WhiteDove Herbals produces all of our products to meet or exceed our standards of purity and quality. |
Why We Do ThisJohn Fischer, the founder of Rocky Mountain Herbals worked for a big-box health food store, and grew disenchanted with the big-company policies that were changing the ancient craft of herbals. Today the big-box health food stores make deals to reduce the cost of herbals with giant manufacturing conglomerates. The artistry is gone, replaced with mechanized factories that churn out low-cost, poor quality herbals. Rocky Mountain Herbals sources and sells only the finest quality herbals available in the world. |
Mechanized Harvesting vs. Hand SelectedThe artisans that make the extracts we sell go into the fields to hand select every plant one at a time to ensure the peak efficacy and purity of our products. For example; Echinacea plants mature very quickly and must be picked within hours of reaching the stage that ensures the highest potency, too soon or too late will result in a harvested plant with almost no effectiveness or potency whatsoever. Some of the large herbal extract companies harvest entire fields at once with mechanized diesel burning tractors. The result is a mass of plant material with most of the efficacy destroyed by an untimely harvest and huge amounts of contamination from weeds, dirt and diesel exhaust. |
Hand Crafted vs. Mechanized ManufacturingWe have a small laboratory, and a dedicated staff with 100s of years of combined experience hand crafting herbals following ancient traditions developed by indigenous peoples over thousands of years of trial and error. The big business conglomerates that manufacture the products on the shelves at your local big box health food store make products in mega-batches. Since every batch of raw herb is different, the extraction process should be altered for every new batch of herbs. This attention to detail requires a dedication to the artistry and craft. |
