Information About Borage herb:

Common Uses: The garden herb borage can be used to strengthen and restore adrenal function, especially after steroid treatment. It acts as a diuretic, is soothing to the GI tract and mucous membranes and lowers fever.

Suggested Uses: 40 to 60 drops in water or juice three to four times daily or as recommended by your health practitioner.

Traditional Uses: Soothing to the the skin, high in essential fatty acids, menopause, cough, arthritis.

Herbal Anecdote: Ancient celtic warriors drank wine flavored with borage to give them courage in battle. Romans and Greeks considered borage an anti-depressant.So pretty, the purple-blue flowers of this plant are use to decorate salads and cakes, and they can be frozen in ice cubes to enhance summer drinks. The leaves and seeds stimulate milk flow in nursing mothers.
