Information About Calendula flower:
Common Uses: Calendula is soothing and healing to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and bowels. As an anti-fungal it is used to combat candidiasis and other fungal overgrowth. It may also be used to decrease inflammation, tighten tissue and heal wounds.
Suggested Uses: 40 to 60 drops in water or juice three to four times daily or as recommended by your health practitioner.
Traditional Uses: Stomach upset, Leaky Gut, gastric or duodenal ulcers, Colitis, manstrual cramping, burns, soothing to mucous membranes, bed sores.
Herbal Anecdote: Essential oils can be extracted from the petals, but is extremely expensive.So named by the ancient Romans who noticed that the plant bloomed on the first day, or "calends", of every month.In the 16th century, used in a potion to enable one to see fairies.
