Information About Cardamom pod:

Common Uses: Cardamom is used to relieve stomach aches and sore throats and to relieve headaches. Chewing pods may also be used as a digestive and mouth freshener. Cardamom water makes an excellent mouthwash to freshen breath and treat gum problems.

Suggested Uses: 30 to 50 drops in water or juice three to four times daily or as recommended by your health practitioner.

Herbal Anecdote: Alexander the Great’s soldiers introduced it to Europe upon returning from India around 325BC and the ancient Romans and Greeks not only used it in food and for medicinal purposes, but also in perfumes. It is said that Cleopatra had her palace perfumed with Cardamom for Mark Anthony’s visits. Bedouins flavor their coffee with cardamom seeds. While it's a key ingredient in East Indian curries, cardamom is also used in Scandinavian pastries.
