Information About Catnip herb:
Common Uses: Catnip may be used for indigestion, flatulence, infant colic, childhood stomach upset; it is also a diuretic, lowers fever, and acts as a mild sedative.
Suggested Uses: 30 to 50 drops in water or juice three to four times daily or as recommended by your health practitioner.
Traditional Uses: Sleep aid, stomach ailments, hives, emmenogogue, colds and flu, diaphoretic, stops diarrhea, topically relieves swelling.
Herbal Anecdote: A 1969 a confusing drawing of Catnip (looked a bit like Cannabis) mistakenly concluded smoking catnip cigarettes produced euphoria in humans. Cats respond to the smell of the catnip leaves, not to eating catnip.
