Information About Emotional Rescue Blend:

Common Uses: Emotional Rescue is an uplifting blend for the relief of symptoms of depression both acute and chronic. The herbs in this blend also serve to balance blood sugar, strengthen the nervous system, increase the rate of nerve transmission, the rate of synthesis and turnover of neurotransmitters and to protect the body from the effects of stress. This formula may by used for those wishing to avoid antidepressant pharmaceuticals.

Suggested Uses: Take 50-80 drops in water or juice three to four times daily.

Traditional Uses: St. Johnswort has been used traditionally for pulmonary complaints, “consumption”, bladder problems including bedwetting and suppression of urine, diarrhea, worms, hysteria, nervous depression, as an astringent for hemorrhages and bruises, and jaundice.

Herbal Anecdote: During the middle ages, St. Johnswort was named after John the Baptist and was traditionally collected on St. John’s Day, June 25. The blood red anointing oil produced by soaking the plant in olive was known as the “blood of Christ”. Its botanical name Hypericum, derived from the Greek hyperieum, means “over an apparition”. It was believed that St. Johnswort was so offensive to evil spirits that one whiff would drive them away.
