Information About Grindelia flower:
Common Uses: A stimulating expectorant, antispasmodic and urinary tract disinfectant, Grindelia is used to treat asthma, chronic bronchitis and cystitis. It is especially effective used externally to alleviate the symptoms of contact dermatitis, poison ivy and insect bites.
Suggested Uses: 30 to 50 drops in water or juice three to four times daily or as recommended by your health practitioner.
Traditional Uses: Other traditional uses: Poison oak, allergies.
Herbal Anecdote: Also known as Gumweed, Grindelia is native to the southwestern US and Mexico . It is harvested in late summer when in flower.
