Information About Pygeum bark:
Common Uses: Historically, the powdered bark was used as a tea for relief of bladder & urinary disorders. Studies show Pygeum Bark to be exceptional in helping to maintain a healthy prostate or to decrease inflammation of the prostate.
Suggested Uses: 30 to 50 drops in water or juice three to four times daily or as recommended by your health practitioner.

Herbal Anecdote: Pygeum has three categories of active constituents. The phytosterols have anti-inflammatory effects. The pentacyclic terpenes have an anti-edema or decongesting effect. The last group, the ferulic esters, reduce levels of the hormone prolactin and also block cholesterol in the prostate.
