Information About Yarrow flower:
Common Uses: As an anti-inflammatory, peripheral vasodilator, and astringent, Yarrow will reduce a fever, lower blood pressure, and control diarrhea. Used topically, it is an excellent wash for sore eyes and skin inflammation, and will stop bleeding.
Suggested Uses: 30 to 50 drops in water or juice three to four times daily or as recommended by your health practitioner.
Traditional Uses:
Herbal Anecdote: It is said that yarrow is the same plant with which Achilles stanched the bleeding wounds of his soldiers, hence the name of the genus, Achillea. Also known as "soldier's wound wort" yarrow powder was commonly included in gear carried by soldiers in WWI to stop bleeding.
